WHEN IS THIS?
This coming Fall starting in Bryson City, NC deep in the Smoky Mountains, on Sept 30th until Oct 3rd 2022.
See below for the rough order of events / activities.
IS THERE A FEE? HOW ABOUT ACCOMMODATION?
Besides paying for your own gas, food and lodging there are NO registration or event fees.
Many people like to stay at the Fontana Village Resort, which is a great family friendly hotel. Others like to rent cabins through services such as AirBnB. Search for availability anywhere around the Robbinsville NC or Bryson City NC areas.
CAN I JOIN THE DRIVES?
Absolutely! Anyone with a Porsche is welcome to join in for some or all of the road tour. You don't need to come along for everything, but you are very welcome to! We want to give everyone as much flexibility as possible.
ARE WE JUST DRIVING THE 'TAIL OF THE DRAGON'?
Absolutely not! Of course we WILL drive the TOTD at least once during the weekend, however we are planning to explore all over this part of the Smoky Mountains and the hundreds of miles of exciting roads the region has to offer.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

TRAVEL DAY
Day 0: Sept 29th, 2022
Plan to travel to the area during at least Sept 29th, so that you're able to attend the first meet-up at 10am on Sept 30th in Bryson City.
DAY ONE
Friday Sept 30th @ 10am
10am: Road Tour 1 - Up in the Clouds to Gatlinburg
Take a ride over some of the highest roads with the most spectacular views from Bryson City NC over to Gatlinburg TN and back - where some of the best scenery and best BBQ awaits the adventurous Porsche drivers.
Meet-Up Point: Bryson City, NC (parking lot of Ingles Market)

5pm: Porsche Nuts Social
The venue and logistics will be provided closer to the date.
DAY TWO
Saturday Oct 1st @ 10am
10am: Road Tour 2 - Slaying the Dragon
The route will be provided closer to the date.

We'll share a drink and some lunch at this famous watering hole after taking on TOTD.

DAY THREE
Sunday Oct 2nd @10am
10am: Road Tour 3 - Driving the Skyway
A breathtaking route across mountains ridges and valleys of the Cherohala Skyway leading to Tellico Plains TN and back.

Another group lunch for those coming on the 3rd road tour.

DAY FOUR
Monday Oct 3rd @10am
10am: One last ride
On the morning of the last day, we will leave from Bryson City, head over to Fontana and then slay the Dragon one last time before heading out home in whatever direction the roads need to take you.
