July 21-23, 2023 in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina.

IS THERE A FEE? HOW ABOUT ACCOMMODATION?
Besides paying for your own gas, food and lodging there are no registration or event fees. Just show up!
CAN I JOIN THE DRIVES?
Absolutely! Anyone with a Porsche is welcome to join in for some or all of the road tour. You don't need to come along for everything, but you are very welcome to! We want to give everyone as much flexibility as possible.
ARE WE JUST DRIVING 'TAIL OF THE DRAGON'?
We have a whole weekend of different routes planned. We will drive TOTD several times, but each day will take us along a new route with a different destination, each just as challenging and exciting to drive as the other. Check back here for more details as we get closer to July.

TRAVEL DAY
Thursday July 20th 2023
Plan to travel to the area during at least the day before, depending on where you're coming from of course.
DAY ONE
Friday July 21st 2023
Tail of the Dragon and Back
Meeting Point: Fontana Village Resort, NC 28733
Timing: 10am - 3pm
Meet in the rear parking lot of the Fontana Village Resort from 9.30am onwards. The first part of the drive will take us north west through the TOTD and back again. Those who have slayed the Dragon before will know that each direction provides a different set of challenges but with the same thrill and energy.

For anyone interested, we will be having lunch together at the Historic Tapoco Lodge (14981 Tapoco Road, Robbinsville, NC 28771).
DAY TWO
Saturday July 22nd 2023
Gatlinburg and the Great Smokies
Meeting Point: Crockett's Breakfast Camp, 1103 Parkway, Gatlinburg, TN 37738
Timing: 10am - 3pm
Meet in the parking lot of Crockett's Breakfast Camp from 9.30am onwards. We will be taking a spectacular scenic route south from Gatlinburg TN, over and through the Great Smokies National Park to Bryson City, TN. For anyone interested in having breakfast before we depart, please arrive by 8.30am

For anyone interested, we will be having lunch together at the BBQ Wagon in Bryson City (610 Main St, Bryson City, NC 28713).
​
From Bryson City the group will decide on where to go next - west towards TOTD or east towards Hot Springs. Both directions have fantastics routes to drive.
DAY THREE
Sunday July 23rd 2023
Cherohala Skyway
Meeting Point: Ingles Market, Robbinsville NC
Timing: 10am - 3pm

Meet in the parking lot of Ingles Market (2 Sweetwater Rd, Robbinsville, NC 28771) from 9.30am onwards. The group will depart shortly after 10am and drive across the epic Cherohala Skyway.

For anyone interested, we will be having lunch together at the Iron Works Grille, at the western end of the skyway (1641 Cherohala Skyway, Tellico Plains, TN 37385).
